If I use it in the oven, will the handles get hot?

Our ergonomic long stainless steel handles stay cool* on the stove, but they will get hot when used in the oven or over an open flame. Use mitts or grips when transferring.

*Stay-cool applies only to long handles. All other handles are not stay-cool and become hot to the touch during use. Use caution.

Is it heavier than cast iron?

"This is the second Everlast N2 pan I have bought. The first one, a 10-inch pan is great. However, this 12-inch pan seems to lack the same quality. No real differences in cooking or care, yet this pan's coating has started to come off after less than a month's use. Disappointing to say the least."

Good Non-Stick but surface inclusion visible

"After normal seasoning and use, the pan maintains a nice smooth finish. However, after initial seasoning a persistent whitish small (8-10 mm) surface flaw was easily visible in the middle area. Seems like an inclusion in the base metal, also catching on the fingernail. Not sure if that is a warrantee defect. Other than that, pan performs as advertised."

"After fairly extensive research, I decided to get the Anolon nitrided steel pan as an alternative option to my All-Clad D5 stainless steel set. Have been disappointed since the first use. The pan warps and rocks at medium-low heat creating hot spots! Most everything I’ve cooked sticks. I have an easier time cooking with stianless."

Disapointed

"Despite my the hype and high hopes as far as i can tell the "nitrided" factor in this pan does nothing. It seems this pan still requires seasoning, avoiding water and acid, and all of the other factors one would expect from any carbon steel pan. I had hoped for more but after the first couple uses required some SERIOUS scrubbing to remove stuck food i'm feeling regret, Being a regular carbon steel pan is fine, but it feels like the advertising is very misleading and at this point i wish i'd just bought a lodge carbon steel pan for $40 instead of the $120 on this"
