Bartender Kaytee Querro began working in the restaurant industry at the early age of 14, but it was a visit to Chicago’s The Violet Hour that inspired her to pursue a career in craft cocktails. Over the course of her career, she has served as a bartender at martini lounges like Royal Oak’s Goodnight Gracie’s and a server in fine dining establishments. Querro joined the staff of The Oakland in March 2011 and has since embraced the chance to learn about the history and process behind the cocktails and spirits she works with each day. In 2014, she earned the distinct honor of being recognized by HOUR Detroit magazine as one of the city’s Best Bartenders of the Year, and led the bar program for owner Sandy Levine’s new endeavor Chartreuse Kitchen and Cocktails in Detroit.
