Coffee French Toast with Homemade Coffee Butter

{{Anna Goff}}

This coffee French toast with a from-scratch whipped coffee butter is what happens when craftsmanship meets craving. It’s layered, luxurious, and unapologetically indulgent, which is exactly the kind of detail-driven dish that belongs in your Anolon kitchen.

Directions

  1. Make the coffee butter: Place 3 tbsp heavy cream into a saucepan with the instant coffee. Bring to a simmer and whisk the coffee into the cream. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  2. Place the remaining cream into a stand mixer and whip until the butter and buttermilk have separated. Squeeze out any remaining buttermilk and place the cream back into a clean stand mixer with the cream coffee infusion and a pinch of salt. Mix on a high speed for a few minutes until whipped.
  3. Make the French Toast: Combine the eggs, milk, cream, coffee, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Dip the brioche into the mixture.
  4. Heat Anolon’s Tri-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Pan over a medium high heat. Add the butter and spread around the pan. It should be lightly sizzling. Place the French toast into the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Serve with the coffee butter and warm maple syrup. Enjoy!
