Tornado Omelet
Directions
- Dice the Spam, onion, and carrots into small pieces.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a preheated skillet. Add the diced Spam, onion, and carrots, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and the Spam is crisped up.
- Stir in 1.5 cups of cooked rice. Once combined, add 2 tablespoons of ketchup and 3 tablespoons of Demi-glace sauce. Stir-fry for a few minutes until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
- Transfer the fried rice mixture into a small bowl to shape it, then flip the bowl onto a plate to form a mound of omurice.
- Preheat a second skillet over medium heat. Beat 3 eggs in a bowl until well combined. Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the skillet and pour in the eggs, swirling them to coat the bottom evenly.
- Using chopsticks, gently pull the edges of the eggs toward the center and continuously stir in a spiral motion. Keep turning the eggs in a circular motion until they form a tornado or vortex shape.
- Carefully place the tornado omelet on top of the omurice. Drizzle Demi-glace sauce around the edges and garnish with parsley flakes for a finishing touch. Enjoy!
